COPENHAGEN JAZZ FESTIVAL in BERLIN

Like the year before, also in 2006 there will be a "Copenhagen Jazz Festival" in Berlin.

A four day festival in Berlin at the beginning of May offers a mini version of the most huge, all year music event in Denmark, the "Copenhagen Jazz Festival".

With it's combination of free concerts at public places, club gigs and events of international stars in the evenings, the "Copenhagen Jazz Festival" marked the Copenhagen summer over a quarter century.

And now in May this Danish festival is on a four day visit in Berlin!

Last year's Berlin festival edition was a big success and initiate performances of a lot Danish bands in Berlin clubs the following period.

A selection of the best Danish musicians at present will perform again in clubs, at S-Bahn stations and at the Danish embassy. For example great bassist BO STIEF, who starts his career in the legendary Copenhagen jazz spot Montmartre with jazz icons like Ben Webster or Roland Kirk. MARILYN MAZUR and her group PERCUSSION PARADISE will perform as well as the KASPER VILLAUME TRIO and bands like ANDERSKOV ACCIDENT, who presents music in the most modern way combining musical contrasts.

On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006 Denmarks most powerful and hippest band IBRAHIM ELECTRIC will open the festival at the Danish embassy in Berlin. Till May 7th you will have great experiences and a full view into the lively music scene of Denmark, these are the locations:
